About The Artist

Pamela Padgett is an artist who works with a painterly approach to traditional themes including landscape, still life and figures. Her oil paintings are represented in collections across the country.

Biography

A native West Virginian, Pam now hails from Tennessee where she enjoys painting the lush rolling hills and the landscape. She attended the Art Institute of Pittsburg in Pittsburg, Pennsylvania as a visual arts major working in the advertising field for several years. Pam made the journey to fine art painter and studied with Michael Shane Neal and numerous Nashville painters... a rich community of talented painters and generous teachers. Additional workshop instructors have included Ken Auster, Carolyn Anderson, Matt Smith and many other nationally and internationally known painters. She resides in Williamson County, a strong artistic community of both painters and song smiths.

Life is about searching for inspiration. Nature, my fellow artist friends, museums and sometimes the music in my studio helps guide my way. I really love dancing around all subject matters. It is not my nature to paint a specific genre and stay there. But, I love the challenge and excitement of new discoveries. And every painting is a new start and every day is a new day to paint. The learning never ends!
